Beach House Before & After
When we were searching for a beach cottage on Hatteras Island in North Carolina, there was a huge must have on both our parts!!
We had to be able to see the ocean from the cottage!
After spending the day viewing cottages, it was the last cottage in Avon on the island that we knew was the right fit!
It had lots of wonderful charm, beautiful OCEAN and SOUND views but was in need of some serious LOVING!
The Cottage was dark and dreary on the outside with no curb appeal.
We decided to use Sherwin Williams Duration Paint for outside due the extreme conditions of the island, we were told this was the best paint choice.
Color Palette
SW Tony Taupe - Cedar Siding
SW Pure White on Trim
SW Raindrop Doors, Sofit & Underneath Decking
Cabot Driftwood Gray Deck Stain
I absolutely love the way the Raindrop looks painted underneath the deck!
Since the deck was the original wood it was sucking up the paint as quickly as we painted it on. We decided to use a primer first to save on the paint cost.
The Cabot Solid Stain Deck Stain was wonderful to work with! It covered all the imperfections of the deck in one coat and is very easy to walk on now.
Thanks for stopping by I will be showing you the inside next!
